Always take Forsil Light exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Side effects may be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
Adults and children over 12 years: orally 200 mg 3-4 times a day. Take the capsule whole with water. The interval between doses should be 6-8 hours. To achieve a faster therapeutic effect in adults, the dose can be increased to 400 mg 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg. Some patients can take 600-1200 mg of ibuprofen per day. In severe or acute conditions, the dosage can be increased, provided that the total daily dose does not exceed 2400 mg, in several doses.
Elderly people: Elderly people are at increased risk of side effects. If NSAIDs are required, ibuprofen should be used in a low effective dose for a short period of time. The patient should be regularly monitored for gastrointestinal bleeding while taking NSAIDs. In the presence of renal or hepatic insufficiency, the dosage should be determined individually. The drug should not be taken for more than 7 days or in higher doses. If longer-term use or higher doses are required, a doctor's consultation is required.
